This beautiful bird feeder graces the front porch of our lil' house. Move-in day was quite special with a colleague of mine bringing us a "Welcome Home" cake and a pretty bouquet of autumn flowers.
This past Saturday was the school's Holiday Bazaar. It was such a lovely, beautiful event. The highlight for Noah & nate was winning THREE cakes at the cake walk. This was the acorn shop's chicken coop.
The week before the Holiday Bazaar, I hosted a felting get-together at my house. Felting & wine. :-) The evening was merry & lots of beautiful gnomes were created.
I bought some acorn caps from Lizz's ZooLoo Naturals etsy shop. The acorns are felted, then the caps are "twisted" on. We have them on display in our house in a felted green bowl. So sweet.
Last but not least, our nature table, which is about to turn into an Advent garden. Last Sunday we were invited to a lovely "early" Thanksgiving dinner. So yummy. Our original plans for Thankgiving had to be modified a bit as a friend we had invited is unable to travel, so today we're preparing a bit of a special meal for ourselves: Fried Calamari Salad, Stuffed Cornish Hen & Cranberry Chutney & Gravy & Pomegranate Seeds, Homemade Mashed Potatoes, and Homemade Macaroni & Cheese. Tomorrow we have a lovely invite to a Thanksgiving dinner. I will bake a Polenta Pear Upside Down Cake and bring yummy wine.
I feel thankful for the abundance of the season and the abundance of the warm friendships that have entered our lives. Blessings this Thanksgiving!
