It is apparent that Nuriel looks nothing like me. I have curly brown hair & brown eyes. My grandfather was African-American & my skin tone reflects that. Nuriel has blond hair, blue eyes & she's rather fair.
At one point during the postpartum period my midwife said that she looks like her Dad, but that Nuriel might reveal more of my inner qualities as she grows up. I always wondered about that...
Today a very young child said, "Nuriel looks just like her Mama." I had to laugh at first, because physically we don't look alike at all, but as I reflected more I thought about what my midwife had said. Children are still so much closer to the spiritual world. I think that very young child wasn't talking so much about the physical plane, but the spiritual one.
Of course that poses more questions. What does it mean that we are alike? Nuriel can be quite intense! :-)

yes, just from pics you've posted of both Nuriel and your love, i totally think she looks more like him- BUT i will say that my oldest, Chloe, started out looking TOTALLY like my dh, spitting image, but a LITTLE bit like my mom, well now she looks a little like dh and a LOT like me. her body type even seemed to change into mine, of course it might even seem like it to me because our personalities are REALLY similar.
