Thunder Cake

Nu loves Patricia Polacco's book "Thunder Cake." Nu also loves to bake. She's been asking about making a Thunder Cake for some time, and - although there was no storm in sight - we made one today. I had so much fun with my daughter. Too bad I often feel too stressed to take the time to do something like this during the school year. We made a chocolate ganache for the cake.
