Nuriel on Santa Lucia Day. Let's just say ONE thing she did get from me. We are not "morning people..."
Santa Lucia Bread. I helped the second grade baking effort and made a total of six of these. I used to dislike baking yeast bread, but I think moi & the yeast have fallen in love. So exciting when the water-sugar mixture gets all frothy and bubbly! Ha.

We did a lot of baking...
... including about two-hundred of these yummies. We gave most of them away as gifts of the season, but we did eat our share for sure!
She is so... Nuriel.
Our tree on Christmas morning. Nuriel got the riding horsie and some books. One of her dolls is under the tree because I knitted her a "Milo dress" and the other doll was lovingly made for Nuriel by a colleague.

I swear, the husband must have baked every day for two weeks . . we gave sacks full of treats to neighbors and now ready to share with family at our Family Christmas this Thursday.
