My friend Angie over at The Artist, The Mom spun some gorgeous yarn for me. What an awesome gift that was! She's so talented. (She was also Noah's handwork teacher in 1st grade.) The yarn somehow reminds me of spring. After a process that involved deciding & un-deciding & changing my mind & not being really sure & going back and forth... I thought I should knit some mittens for my summer vacation in New Zealand, thus I named them "Maehe" - the Maori word for March. It was so nice to knit & see how the colors all come together. I love these mittens!

Hi thanks for the invite.
What beautiful green colour.
How exciting your going to New Zealand.
It's such a beautiful place I traveled around both islands 5 years ago. We thought of moving there we loved it that much. Work was the thing that stoped us and my Dad getting sick and spending 6 weeks in hospital. I wouldn't bear being that far away from my family.
I would love to go back there again one day.
