Bug Snug

I saw this hat at Frontier Dreams, a while back, in this post & you know, with me, everything takes a while these days. I was not going to spend $10 on the pattern, though. I thought I would try to intuit myself through the pattern and then I found this Tante T pattern. I cast on 88 stitches and used size US 8 needles and Malabrigo. I knew it would be big, but I didn't anticipate it this big. I frogged the thing four times for various reasons. Perfectionism will be my end one day. Looks like Nunu's friend, Isla, will "borrow" the hat 'til, one day, Nunu's noggin will be big enough...

And I'm sending my love to the people of Christchurch today. What devastating news is coming out of that gorgeous place!

yes on the news right now there is around 70 deaths in chch, its horrendous...still 300 trapped and missing ;(
