Spring is here! What a beautiful day it is. Here's a pilot hat to go with the Wee Lil' Paua Sweater. I have about 1-1/2 skeins of that wonderful, luxurious Malabrigo yarn left now. I will either make some knee-high cabled socks or some no-seam booties next. I finished this pilot hat last night, just before Noah's 7/8th grade class play, "The Sunshine Boys." He was Al Lewis. It was a hilarious play. He did a fantastic job with his part, but has been in bed all morning with an icky stomach virus, thus missing much of this beautiful sunny day. Nathan is working on his Platypus report. So far, so good.
I finished it last night. I used two skeins of yarn with only a yard or two to spare. I love how it turned out. So cute. The Paua buttons certainly give it an exquisite twist. It's unblocked, but I don't even think I'll block this one. All in one piece. No seams whatsoever. My kinda knittin'. The yarn is so soft, too. What a delight. Now on to find another project in the midst of packing up the house.
Baby Brights by Bev Caleskas. (Ravelry link here.) Malabrigo Silky Merino in Artadecer. What a dream! US 6 (4 mm) needles. I purchased the yarn at the local yarn shop with a gift certificate I had gotten for my birthday. I immediately fell in love with the colorway. The Paua buttons look so beautiful with the yarn. They were a gift from Brent. This will be a special lil' sweater indeed.
