yes even in nz it didnt really sink in how bad it was until a few days after!!
Isn't it amazing how we hear so much about the natural disasters that occur in 3rd world countries but so little we about what is going on in our modern world.
Somewhere around Aug 29, we heard of a volcano erupting. But thee was nothing carried on the newscasts we caught. Still wond4r where that happened?
Hope the area of Christchurch that you are intersted in is safe and suffered little.
